Tribes Today

In this sense, the obligations of tribal membership in the modern world foster responsibilities that are pan-tribal, even cosmopolitan. This 21st century equivalent of ancient protector societies is perhaps best exemplified by what is commonly referred to as Zapatismo, the first Internet-era, popular expose of the World Indigenous Peoples’ Movement.
